The 2015 edition of the United Nations World Water Development Report highlighted that ‘water is at the core of sustainable development’. Water has upgraded the quality of human life, and any progress to achieve a more sustainable world will deal with the maintenance and/or the improvement of water management. Water demand has grown at more than twice the population rate in the XX century. By 2025, it is estimated that about 1.8 billion people will live in countries or regions with absolute water scarcity, and two-thirds of the world population could be under stress conditions.

Agents of change: Women in top management and corporate environmental performance

International audience; We analyze the influence of gender diversity in top management on the environmental performance of French firms. Consistent with gender socialization theory, which posits that women are raised from childhood to be more nurturing and compassionate for others, we find that firms with more women in top management exhibit higher environmental performance. This result extends those already reported in the literature regarding the effect of gender diversity at board level. Purpose: The paper explores the role of boundary work and boundary objects in enhancing learning and innovation processes in hybrid multi-actor networks for sustainable agriculture (LINSA). Design/Methodology/Approach: Boundary work in LINSA is analysed on the basis of six case studies carried out in SOLINSA project under a common methodology. In developing typologies of boundary work and objects, a grounded approach is used. W artykule podjęto próbę oceny dwupłaszczyznowego postrzegania problemu kształcenia uczniów dla zrównoważonego rozwoju realizowanego zgodnie z koncepcją społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu (CSR) w środowisku lokalnym oraz analizę ich zachowań proekologicznych na przykładzie wybranych szkół ponadgimnazjalnych o profilu technicznym województwa opolskiego. Diagnoza i analiza badań przeprowadzona została w odniesieniu do komponentu poznawczego, afektywnego i behawioralnego postaw uczniów.

Traffic calming schemes refer to a combination of road network planning and engineering measures to minimize undesirable effects of traffic in residential areas. The traffic calming role in urban road network management is, indeed, to enhance road safety as well as other aspects of liveability for the citizens; in this context accident reduction can be a realistic objective.
